my auto hammer?
One size fits most — the original Craftsman, SKIL, Ryobi. If it's an auto hammer, odds are it's already a match. Tips are standard 5/16-18, so the ones in your bag thread straight on.
Confirmed on the bench
- Craftsman
The original Craftsman auto hammer is one of the hammers the attachment was built around. It threads on and takes standard 5/16-18 tips.
- SKIL
Fits the SKIL auto hammer. We also sell the SKIL hammer as a kit with the attachment already installed.
- Ryobi
Fits the Ryobi auto hammer. Same install as the others — thread it on and go to work.

Checking your own hammer
Take the tip or chisel out of the front of your auto hammer. The attachment threads into that same spot, and then your standard 5/16-18 PDR tips thread into the attachment.
Thread it in by hand until it seats, then snug it — no wrenches. If it starts hard or wobbles, back it off and check for cross-threading rather than forcing it.
